This video is nothing but radical. Snowboarding taken back down to the roots. Check out the sickest boards I have ever seen and some long board style pack runs even.

Corey Smith cut his shapes out of a piece of wood, fiber glassed, painted it and epoxied it and then went to shred. “This enabled me to look at the mountain and look at snowboarding from a different perspective and you know, just really enjoy it” said Corey Smith, Creator of Spring Break snowboards.

The shredding in this video is so old school and so basic, yet such a fun video to watch.

“Building and riding these boards has been one of the most best experiences I’ve had snowboarding.” said Corey Smith, creator of Spring Break snowboards. “Building these boards was just like one of the best experiences for me as far as, just falling back in love with snowboarding. I think I was just so over it, filming video parts every year.”
The minimum donation to get one of these custom made boards is $500 and it includes a 1 year warranty against breaking.

The 2011 Dragon Skate Race held on California Ave in the University of California Irvine was a day full of fun and excitement for everyone.

Tyler Hampson and Spencer Adams fully suited up

The event was hosted by UC Irvine’s Beta Theta Pi as a charity event to help raise money for the The Free Wheelchair Mission which is a nonprofit organization that helps provide wheelchairs to people in developing countries that can’t afford one. The wheelchairs cost $59.20 to manufacture.

The race was not held on a very exciting course however the addition of hay bails at the end caused for some great crashes and excitement for the crowd.

Setting up the second wall in stopping riders from hitting the street

Some riders would pin it full speed launching off their boards exploding through the hay bails landing in the street on the other side. Hay bails would disintegrate as riders bailed through them at over 30 m.p.h.

Other riders chose to throw a slide or foot brake before hitting the painfully hard hay bails while lots more riders avoided them completely.

Putting hay back into place moments after a rider exploded throught he hay bails

Full padding and helmets were required for all riders. The cost of entry was $10 which got you 2 runs. Each additional run was $5.

The course was set up with a high tech timing system using wires in the ground that would start and then stop the times as riders would cross over them.

Congratulations to:

1st place- Jimmy Riha

Tie for 2nd Place- Peter Kell & Jeff Budro

3rd Place- Austin Nicassio

Alli Adams started skateboarding less than a year ago. Now she’s hitting 40 mph on her local hill and throwing slides steezy and easy. I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot more of her in the up and coming future.

Our friend Mike “Vegas Mike” Snyder decides to test out a new toy in the wind tunnel. The toy tests Mike. Check it out as Mike gets an adrenaline fueled ride!

Whats up everyone. It’s been a year so far since we started Adrenaline Fueled. The year has gone by fast and we have learned a lot. Every post has been made by myself Lee Leecifer Eisler and Joseph Dirt Demon Espiritu. Here are some of our favorite memories from this past year. Let me tell you, it was hard to narrow it down to a top 5.

Leecifers Top 5:

1. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/08/08/car-pass-crash/

I had to put this as my top pick. This crash happened suring the So Cal Represent freebord ride for 2010. Left me in a cast with a broken scaphoid bone for 7 months. Here it is in slow motion! http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/10/01/so-cal-represent-2010/

2. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/10/23/r-i-p-jamboree-garage-sessions/

I remember this night well. The adrenaline was pumping hard after this!

3. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2011/04/21/rip-sam-trowbridge/

Had to post this for Sam! This isn’t a good memory but still a memory. Wear your helmets people!

4. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2011/02/06/talega-new-years-event-jan-22-23/

This was one of the most memorable events of the year. Tons of fun and excitement. The video tells the story.

5. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/07/25/l-a-sessions/

I chose this as my 5th favorite post simply because it is a video of me. Its a raw run and the first 3:30 suck but I still like it.

Dirt Demons top 5:

1. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/06/27/sunday-shred/

This was one of our first projects and possibly one of the funnest.  At this point of adrenaline-fueled we really didn’t know what to cover, except the fact that we made sure to post only rad content and nothing else.

2. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/12/06/vegas-indoor-skydiving-review/

Vegas with the Freebord crew and “Vegas Mike” – getting chased by cops and drinking like a pirate sums it all up.

3. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/06/11/austin-gooner-lin-interview/

I’ve never even met the kid, but this one was a top hitter early on.  Long – live Gooner, where ever that rascal is.

4. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2011/02/23/gmrun-from-the-police-chopper/

Smellin’ the bacon.  I couldn’t make this event, but this video made me want to be part of the action.  Ghetto bird encounters have been a norm on this site, so search and watch.

5. http://adrenaline-fueled.com/2010/07/20/parallel-lines/

I think this was the first or second time I’ve ever met Max. I shot this of him and Leecifer and had nothing but banger light the whole time.  Fun stuff…

Sometimes skating through the mist can be a pretty fun experience. It’s nice to have a change every once in a while.

Sam Trowbridge caught a heel edge riding his freebord with no helmet on 4-20-2011 at around 4:25 p.m. He hit his head and was rushed to the hospital where doctors did what they could to help him. Sam was pronounced brain dead this morning 4-21-2011 and died this afternoon surrounded by his family, girlfriend, and many of his friends.

Doctors say he did not suffer since he was knocked unconscious right away. Sam a member of the freebord pro team 2011 was at the beginning of a freebord journey that was to end up in San Francisco. He was in Auckland at the time of the accident.

Sam’s riding abilities, video editing skills and love for the sport was seen by all. He inspired many riders and touched peoples lives who he had never met.

The following are some of my favorite videos Sam has edited. A lot of these inspired me to get out there and ride.

SAM, WE WILL MISS YOU BUDDY!

We had so much fun shredding this morning that we had to make a short little edit. This is some clips from 2 runs on a Saturday at Gabby’s Morning Rampage session. Be sure to share it with your friends. -Gravity Rider
